Restoration of stoneware fountain pool
The fountain pool was constructed in 1957 by the landscape architect Herta Hammerbacher as part of an ample private garden in Berlin-Schmargendorf.
Material: stoneware, size about 19,5×19,5 mm
State before restoration: destroyed pool border, defective concrete construction, defective grout, missing tesserae, fissuring in the bedding course, rinsed seams, strong soiling
Measures: rebuilding and restoration of pool border, cleaning with superheated steam, supplementing the missing parts and loose tesserae, grouting
